ASES Enrichment Services: Request for Proposals

 

The district collaborates with the City of West Sacramento to provide free after school programs, and with the YMCA to provide low cost after school care.

KidZone

 

KidZone is a free after school program for children in grades K-5. There are KidZone programs at the following schools:

The City of West Sacramento handles registration. More information about KidZone, including how to register and parent handbooks, is available at the KidZone website. KidZone is funded through the district's After School Education and Safety grant from the State of California, funded through Proposition 49. The program includes a nutritious snack, academic support, enrichment, and recreation.

Club West

 

Club West is a free after school program for teens in grades 6, 7, and 8. The main Club West location is at Riverbank Elementary, behind the school adjacent to the park. Additional Club West locations include Elkhorn Village Elementary, Stonegate Elementary, and Westmore Oaks Elementary.

 

The Club West website has information about activities, including crafts, sports, dance, homework assistance, science, and fitness programs. The Club West after school program is funded through the district's After School Education and Safety grant from the State of California, funded through Proposition 49.The program includes a nutritious snack, acadeic support, enrichment, and recreation.

Where schools are not eligible for ASES grant funded after school care, we have established partnerships with the YMCA to provide low cost child care. Bridgeway Island Elementary and Southport Elementary have YMCA after school programs.
