The Washington Unified School District is deeply committed to recruiting and retaining a high-quality workforce that serves to develop a community of high expectations. We are currently involved in the negotiations process with both the Washington Teachers Association (WTA) and the Classified School Employees Association(CSEA).
The collective bargaining agreements for both of these associations are due to sunset on June 30, 2018. Our goal is to reach agreements with both associations during Spring 2018 so that we are able to enter the upcoming school year with new collective bargaining agreements.
Our goal is to be a valuable and timely resource of information providing our community with the explanation, clarity, and transparency it needs to better understand the current status involving contract negotiations as well as common definitions of language used in the negotiations process.
