Washington Adult School is a secondary and post-secondary adult training program offering high-quality, low-cost educational and training opportunities for adults 18 years of age or older.
Enrollment is open on a continuous basis in most classes. When a student exits the program another may enroll to fill his/her space.
Call or email the office today to make an appointment to register and enroll.
Consistent attendance is required. Poor attendance may result in being dropped from the course.
English as a Second Language, Citizenship, High School Diploma, and High School Equivalency courses are free to all students.
English as a Second Language (ESL) & Citizenship
These courses encompass the skills of speaking, listening, reading, writing, mathematics, decision making and problem solving, and preparation to participate in job-specific career and technical training. Students may use ESL instruction to gain life and employment skills, progress to career or academic programs, and become actively engaged in their communities.
High School Diploma and Equivalency programs are designed for students who want to complete their high school education. Highly-qualified and credentialed staff assist you with completing online or face-to-face courses leading to a WUSD High School Diploma or with online, in-person preparation for the four GED tests leading to a GED Certificate (equivalent to HSD). You’re never too old to complete your High School Diploma or GED. Enroll today!
Our counselor is available to help you create an educational plan that is flexible to your needs, but also effective in helping you meet your educational goals.
A copy of your most recent high school transcript is required for evaluation and placement.
Our facilities are available to all students who seek information regarding post-secondary education, the college registration process, financial aid information, career and job exploration, etc.
There are 15 industry sectors in California. WUSD is expanding its programs to include the highest- demand, highest-skilled, and highest-wage training programs in the region. Graduates of our CTE programs will be prepared to transition successfully to post-secondary programs at the college level, earn industry-recognized certification, and/or to find a career that pays a family-sustaining, livable wage.
