Washington Unified School District

WUSD is blessed to have an outstanding working relationship with the West Sacramento Police Department. As part of our dual commitment to safety for the students of WUSD, WSPD and the district employ two full time WSPD officers as School Resource Officers. 

 

The two officers (Officer Dan Bowers and Officer Tim Twardosz) not only work as peace officers on our campuses, but they provide mentoring, counseling and elementary education to the students in our schools. WUSD values the input and service these two fine officers provide to our district. 

 

Although both officers can be seen at any school in our district at a given time, Officer Bowers concentrates on the schools in the north end of town and his office is located at the Yolo Education Center; Officer Twardosz works the schools on the south end of town and his office is housed at RCHS.
