Washington Unified School District has specific equipment
standards for printers, laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, and peripherals
(keyboards, mice, headsets, etc.) that have been approved by
the Technology Department and integrate with our network while meeting
the needs of the K-12 classroom.
When considering making
purchases either as a classroom teacher, site administrator, or parent
organization, please note the process below to make the acquisition as
smooth as possible:
Submit your requests through the WUSD Helpdesk System.
Upon receiving your request we will look at current pricing, provide
a quote, or examine our stock to determine how best to meet your
technology needs.
The Technology Department will contact you with the current pricing for approval BEFORE placing an order.
Upon approval of the cost, we will request a budget code and place the order.
Upon arrival of the equipment, we add it to the district inventory,
attach a district asset tag, and prepare the device for deployment.
Upon deployment, we will close the Helpdesk Ticket.
If you have any questions during this process, you can contact the Technology Department at any time.
Donated Items
Has a company, local business, or parent donated technology to your
school or classroom? We want to take your donations, however, not all
computers integrate well into our network.
If you have pending donation, please do the following:
Contact Christy Jourdan in writing with the make and model of the equipment being donated.
We will check to determine if the particular equipment will
integrate with our network. This means, will it be able to access the
Internet, is upgradeable to Windows 7, has sufficient capacity and
memory to meet our minimum standards, and is a model that we currently
are using in the district.
If the equipment meets the network standards, we will coordinate
with the donator to accept the equipment to the Technology Department
for service before deploying to the designated school site or classroom.
If the equipment does not meet the network standards, we will notify
the requestor in writing as to this determination with an explanation
as to why we cannot accept the donation.
We will make every effort to accept all donations from our generous WUSD supporters.
If you have any questions during this process, you can contact the Technology Department at any time.
