In June, Washington Unified will offer comprehensive summer enrichment opportunities providing supplemental instructional support to ensure student needs in academic, social-emotional, and many other areas.

This program supports students at the early stages of English Language Development based on their annual language assessment scores. Through engaging thematic instruction and interactive strategies, we will provide 19 days of language learning fun!

 

Dates: June 10 to July 8 (No school June 19 and July 4)

This program helps bridge the summer with continued Spanish language support for current Dual Immersion students from Elkhorn.  Through engaging thematic instruction and interactive strategies, we will provide 19 days of Spanish language learning fun!

WMCHS offers an extended learning opportunity for students at the middle college who need to retake standards-based assessments and/ or improve grades from the Fall and Spring semesters.

Attendees: Eligible students currently enrolled in WMCHS are invited.

 

Transportation: Provided ONLY on regular routes/times through June 5th.

This summer program supports students in earning some credits through an online platform called Edgenuity. This allows students to focus on the courses that they need. Courses in Edgenuity have been set as credit recovery courses. Students can work at their own pace. The expectation is to have students complete at least two courses (10 credits) within this timeframe.

The Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP) provides a wide range of activities and opportunities for students beyond the regular school day. These programs aim to enrich students' educational experiences, foster their personal development, and provide a safe and supportive environment for learning.

Times: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

The Special Education Extended School Year (ESY) summer school program focuses on activities that support student IEPs. The Individual Education Program (IEP) team must determine the need for ESY services individually each year.

A two-day immersive program for Native education students provides hands-on experiences to explore and celebrate their cultural heritage. There will be a cumulative educational field trip.

 

Dates: June 9 to 11; June 11, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (educational field trip)

 

Times: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
