Request for Proposals – RFP #2026-1 WAN
Wide Area Network (WAN) Services
E-rate Funding Year 2026–2027

Washington Unified School District (WUSD) invites qualified service providers to submit proposals for E-rate Category 1 private fiber Wide Area Network (WAN) Services as specified in RFP #2026-1 WAN. The District currently maintains a managed private WAN connecting 13 sites and is seeking upgraded fiber-based Layer 2 Ethernet services meeting specified Committed Information Rates (CIRs).

Scope of Work:
The successful bidder will provide private, non-shared fiber WAN services connecting all WUSD schools and facilities to the District Data Center. Requirements include:
• Minimum CIR of 2,500 Mbps per site (5,000 Mbps for RCHS; higher increments as specified).
• District Office CIR of 30,000 Mbps, with scalable options.
• Layer-2 Ethernet service delivered over fiber.
• 10G SFP+ handoff at all sites.
• Fully managed solution including all required equipment.
• Network must be fully operational by July 1, 2026.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS – RFP #2026-2 NEU
Network Electronics Upgrade – Category 2 Edge Switching
E-rate Funding Year 2026–2027

Washington Unified School District (WUSD) is seeking qualified vendors to provide E-rate Category 2 Network Electronics for the District’s Network Edge Switching Upgrade Project.

Scope of Work:
• Replace all edge switches across district sites
• Integrate with Extreme Networks core, NAC, and management systems
• Support 10-Gigabit SFP+ uplinks and advanced VLAN/QoS features
• Provide all required optics, stacking hardware, power supplies, and licensing
• Perform staging, pre-configuration, installation, and testing
• Provide minimum 12-month installation warranty
