Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee
The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee (SSAC) brings together student leaders from across the Washington Unified School District (WUSD) to ensure student voice is at the center of district decision-making. Members meet directly with the Superintendent to share their experiences, discuss what is working well, and raise ideas and concerns that impact students across all WUSD schools.
A New Chapter in 2025–2026
For the first time, a new chapter is beginning in WUSD student leadership as middle school leadership students from each of our K–8 campuses join the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee. Their participation expands the conversation to include both middle and high school perspectives, ensuring that younger students have a direct voice in shaping the future of their schools and our district.
