Elkhorn Village School Modernization and Temporary Student Transportation Plan

Elkhorn Village School Modernization and Temporary Student Transportation Plan

Washington Unified School District (WUSD) is excited to announce that Elkhorn Village School will undergo a major modernization and partial rebuilding project during the 2025–2026 school year. These renovations are part of our commitment to providing students with safe, modern, and engaging learning environments.

TEMPORARY CAMPUS AND TRANSPORTATION PLAN

While Elkhorn Village School is under construction, students will attend school at the Clarendon Campus located at 1100 Clarendon Street, West Sacramento, CA 95691. To support families during this transition, WUSD will provide daily bus transportation for Elkhorn Village School students.

TEMPORARY BUS STOP LOCATION

To ensure a safe and convenient pickup and drop-off location, a designated temporary bus stop will be established at the park adjacent to Elkhorn Village School:

NEXT STEPS

We are working closely with the City of West Sacramento and our WUSD Transportation Department to finalize schedules and logistics. More detailed information about bus times and procedures will be shared with families before the start of the school year.

We are grateful to the City of West Sacramento for its partnership in allowing the use of the park as a safe waiting area during this period.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we work to enhance Elkhorn Elementary for future generations.
